👑 And much, much more!

🏈 GAME WEEK

Another national TV audience.
In-state rivalry.
Nationally-ranked opponent.

What more do we have to say about this week? It’s JMU week.

ODU, who has now won three of its past four games, will travel to Harrisonburg to take on the undefeated and 25th-ranked Dukes.

This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools that are separated by just over 200 miles.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Cleared For Takeoff. The time has come. The Monarchs will officially be back on the court TONIGHT at Chartway Arena.

Fans have a chance to get a sneak peek at the new faces, key returners and much more as ODU will be hosting Virginia State in an exhibition showdown. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

🔼 Doubling Up. When you win nine straight games, awards seem to start piling up.

ODU field hockey is finding that out as the Monarchs took home not one, but ✌️ BIG EAST weekly accolades. Marlon de Bruijne and Suus Broers were named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and BIG EAST Freshman of the Week this week.

Broers has been named Freshman of the Week three times now this season and de Bruijne has been named Offensive player of the Week four times.

Broers recorded her seventh and eighth shutouts of the season while making four saves in the win over Quinnipiac.  de Bruijne scored three goals and added an assist in the wins, she scored one goal and had one assist against Quinnipiac and two goals against JMU. de Bruijne leads the BIG EAST in points (37), goals (16) and game winning goals (6).

🔼 Hardware Headed Home. A trip to OBX to golf and you come home with some hardware? We’d say that’s a good way to spend a few days.

That’s how ODU’s men’s golf squad spent the past few days at the annual ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, where the Monarchs battled their way to a second place finish amongst a talented field.

Senior Kazuki Yamauchi was the top finisher for the Monarchs, tying for seventh with a 54-hole total of 216 (+3). Jacob Gunther and Kaijun Ma turned in a pair of 217s (+4) to tie for 11th and Jakob Henriksson tied for 15th with a 218 (+5).

🤔 MONARCH TRIVIA

Magnificent Marlon. Senior Marlon de Bruijne has been on a tear for the ODU field hockey team.

The veteran is a potent offensive force and has now scored in seven straight games, helping lead the way for the Monarchs’ current nine game win streak.

de Bruijne is currently one of only nine players in the country with 16 or more goals this fall. For her career, she has found the back of the cage 57 times, scoring at least 12 goals in every season she’s been at ODU.

Who is the all-time leading goal scorer in program history?
