🏈 SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

We got all the Saturday night entertainment you need at Ballard Stadium and the NFL Network.

For the first-time ever, the Monarchs will be playing on NFL Network when they host perennial Sun Belt power Appalachian State in a huge East Division contest.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 He Is A Real (All) American. It appears last season was just a preview.

This year? He’s doing it again.

Junior linebacker Jason Henderson continues to turn heads and gain eyeballs from across the country as he was named a midseason All-American by The Sporting News, the Associated Press and ESPN, this week.

A two-year starter and team captain, Henderson leads the country with 92 tackles and is tied for the nation's lead with 13 tackles for loss. He has secured double-digit tackles in all six games this season and 21 times in his ODU career.

Last season, Henderson led the country in tackles with 186 and earned second-team All-America honors.

🔼 Home Cooking. Sometimes, all it takes is a little taste of home.

Junior Myah Conway continued her dominating season and redshirt sophomore LeeAnne Lowery had a career night to help the Monarchs volleyball team get back on track with a 3-1 victory over Louisiana at the ODU Volleyball Center last night.

Conway posted her fourth 20-plus kill night and now ranks in the top-10 nationally in total kills with 338 on the season. Lowery set new career highs of 11 kills, 10 blocks and 16.5 points while hitting for .733.

The same two teams will face off again tonight here in Norfolk with first serve set for 6:30 pm.

🔼 Lights, Camera, Action. 18 days.

That’s all that separates us from the start of another ODU women’s hoops season.

This week, the Monarchs’ own head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones and guard Kaye Clark attended the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Media Day to preview the upcoming season with other programs from around the league.

ODU returns five players from 2022-23, to include starters in Clark and Jordan McLaughlin, but also hit the recruiting trail hard, bringing in 10 newcomers for the upcoming season.

🔼 Rough Road. There’s a reason it’s called “home field advantage.”

Entering with the top defense in the country, ODU had a target on their backs and for the first time all year, the Monarchs allowed two goals and suffered a tough 2-1 setback at Texas State last night in San Marcos.

ODU and TSU are the two top defenses in the Sun Belt and it showed as neither team scored until the final 10 minutes, but the Bobcats got the difference maker, scoring the winning goal with less than five minutes to play.

The Monarchs close out their home regular season slate when they host Georgia State on Sunday afternoon in Norfolk. Kickoff is set for 12:30 pm.

🦁 SUPPORT YOUR MONARCHS

Support your Monarchs and get 🔥🔥 gear? That’s a no brainer.

ODU has partnered with AthletesThreads.com to give fans the opportunity to purchase specialized Monarch gear to support the student-athletes NIL fund.

👑 PORT OF CALL

This Saturday, October 21st is Port Day for the ODU vs. App State football game! The Port of Virginia is one of the busiest in the nation, receiving over 2,200 commercial ships last year. Come out to support the Maritime Industry this Saturday.
