🔼 Holding Court. For the past five years, the ODU volleyball program has been building and building each season of its existence.

That building is becoming quite high as the Lady Monarchs are rolling to start their fifth season in program history.

Playing at the George Mason Invite this weekend, ODU swept through its three matches to sit at 8-2, the best start in program history.

With victories over Mason (3-2), Quinnipiac (3-1) and Navy (3-0), the Monarchs have now won five straight matches, the longest win streak in program history.

🔼 Be Like Mike. No better way to head into conference play than with momentum on your side.

The ODU men’s soccer team will do just that after a clutch late goal from junior Michael Eberle as the Monarchs pushed their unbeaten streak to four with a 1-0 defeat of in-state rival George Mason.

During the unbeaten streak, ODU has allowed just one goal in those 360 minutes of play.

🔼 Bounce Back Time. A sold out Ballard Stadium saw a thrilling first half on Saturday night when the Hokies came to Blacksburg.

Unfortunately, playing with two freshman QBs caught up to the Monarchs as Virginia Tech pulled away in the second half for the 37-17 victory.

With regular starter Grant Wilson out due to injury, the Monarchs went to Colton Joseph and Quinn Henicle, who provided some early excitement with a 65-yard TD scamper in the second quarter.

ODU was within striking distance into the fourth, 20-10, but VT scored 17 in the final frame to secure the victory.
