📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Drawing Even. It took over 500+ minutes, but someone finally scored on the ODU women’s soccer team, but the Monarchs didn’t let them come out on top as captain Anna Torslov scored less than six minutes later as ODU earned a 1-1 tie against local rival William & Mary on Sunday in Norfolk. This is just the second time in program history that ODU has been unbeaten through the first six matches of the season (2006 - 8-0 start).

🔼 Business Trip Up North. The reigning Big East regular season champions continued their 2023 with a quick business trip up to Michigan to take on Central Michigan and #4 UM. ODU came away 1-1 with a 3-0 win over CMU and a tough 1-0 overtime loss to the Wolverines. Three different Monarchs scored in the win over the Chippewas with ODU holding CMU without a shot in the contest. ODU racked up seven saves against the fourth-ranked Wolverines on Sunday, but a tough goal in overtime was the difference maker.

🔼 Connect Four. The ODU women’s volleyball team continued their historic start to the 2023 season moving to 4-2 on the year after a showing at the Kristen Dickmann Invitational, hosted by Navy. The 4-2 start is the best start to a season for the young program. The Monarchs win on the weekend came in a five-set thriller over Utah Valley on Saturday afternoon. Up Next? The Cavaliers of UVA on Tuesday night in Charlottesville.

🔼 Battle In Blacksburg. New QB Grant Wilson tossed for two TDs and the Monarchs showed flashes, but a few too many mistakes plagued ODU in the season opener at Virginia Tech, in which the Hokies came away with a 36-17 victory.
