The ODU Basketball: Keeping Up With The Joneses Coaches Show was back for its second episode on Monday night at Recovery Sports Grill in Norfolk.

🔼 Super Sean. Ever since he stepped on campus, Sean Durugordon has been a force for the ODU men’s hoops squad.

Now that league play is here, the grad transfer has taken it to a whole new level.

A native of Harlem, New York, Durugordon had a pair of 20 point games and led ODU in scoring in both wins.

He scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the win over Louisiana, also going 8-for-8 from the foul line. Durugordon followed the performance up with 27 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and two blocks against South Alabama. Eight of his 18 rebounds were offensive boards. He currently ranks 11th in the country with 3.76 offensive rebounds per game.

🔼 Howdy, Partners. The second half of this year’s MAC-SBC Challenge has been on the docket for a while, but now, we’ve got our dance partners.

On the women’s side, the Monarchs will battle Toledo, while on the men’s side, ODU will head to Eastern Michigan.

Both games are slated for Saturday, Feb. 8th.

🔼 The Friendly Confines. ODU Fans, it’s going to be a busy laundry week, my friends!

We’ve got 4️⃣ straight days of home action this week in Norfolk, starting TONIGHT when the women’s hoops squad hosts App State at 6:30.

It continues tomorrow when the men’s team welcomes the Mountaineers to Chartway at 7, followed by a tennis tripleheader to open the 2025 seasons on Friday, beginning at 12 pm.

The busy week is capped off on Saturday with a hoops doubleheader with the women hosting Texas State at 1 and the men battling Georgia Southern at 3:30.

🔼 Looking Ahead. Sure it may only be January, but it’s always a good time to get ready for ODU Football.

Last week, the Monarchs learned their Sun Belt West Division partners for the upcoming 2025 season, which includes a trip to ULM and a visit from the Trojans of Troy.
