Good Morning, ODU Fam. It’s been nearly 60 years since Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell unveiled “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to the world.
On Wednesday, the ODU women’s hoops team proved that statement once again.

🔼 Mountain Climbers. Sometimes it isn’t the prettiest, but sometimes you just have to grind it out.
That’s exactly what the ODU women’s hoops team did on Wednesday, fighting its way to a hard-fought 65-54 win over App State at Chartway Arena.
En’Dya Buford, who was honored during pre-game ceremonies for breaking the 1,000-point scoring mark earlier this month, led the team with 18 points, six rebounds, two steals.
As a team, the Monarchs locked down defensively, holding the Mountaineers to just 29-percent from the field and forced 18 turnovers, including 13 steals in the victorious effort.
🔼 The Italian Stallion. For the second time in his career, Vinnie Pasquantino will wear the Italian threads as he is set to play in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which is set to begin in early March.
The former ODU star is coming off a career year with the Royals after launching 32 HRs and driving in 113 RBIs last season for Kansas City.
Pasquantino and Team Italy will be in Group B in Houston. The rest of group includes Team USA, Brazil, Great Britain and Mexico.
🔼 Zach Attack. ODU swimming standout Zach Redding hit the pool for the first time in 2026 and did so in award-winning fashion.
This week, Redding was named the ASUN Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season and sixth time in his career.
He led the Monarchs to a strong showing in a tri-meet with East Carolina and William & Mary last weekend.
