Happy Humpday ODU Fam. When running a race, sometimes you need to hit the check point to see where you’re at, fuel up and finish strong.
Tonight, both the Monarch hoops squads start the second half of the Sun Belt race aiming to climb the standings heading towards March

🔼 At The Checkpoint. Tonight kicks off the second half of the Sun Belt conference slate for both hoops squads, with both in prime position to make late season pushes.
The women’s squad welcome Georgia State to Chartway Arena tonight, while the fellas hit the road to battle at App State. Both games are set to tip off at 6:30 tonight.
Entering the second half of the year, the Lady Monarchs sit at 6-3, just two games back of the second spot in the standings. On the men’s side, ODU sits at 5-4 in league play, in a three-way tie with James Madison and Texas State. The Monarchs are just two games back of the top spot in the conference.
🔼 Smart Cookies. 14 teams played football this fall in the Sun Belt. Only one of those teams holds a GPA above 3.0.
The academic success continued for the Monarchs this past fall with a record-setting number of ODU football standouts earning Dean’s List status (40) and over 60-percent of the team holding a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester.

The ODU Basketball: Keeping Up With The Joneses Coaches Show is returned for another episode this past Monday at Recovery Sports Grill in Norfolk from 6-7 pm.
Hosted by Matt Hatfield, the Voice of the Lady Monarchs, he was joined by both Head Coaches, Mike Jones and DeLisha Milton-Jones, who talked about their winning weekends and looked ahead to the second half of the Sun Belt slate.
