Happy New Year ODU Fam! Plenty of holiday gatherings are filled with different games that bring out plenty of laughs and excitement.
Coming off the holiday break, the Lady Monarchs played one more game, going old school with Connect Four.

🔼 Connect Four. Nothing like starting the new year with a classic game of Connect Four.
Oh don’t worry, it’s not the game you’re thinking of, it’s the four-game win streak of the ODU women’s basketball. The Lady Monarchs took their show on the road, dominating Southern Miss, 65-47, to improve to 2-0 in Sun Belt play.
In Thursday’s win over the Golden Eagles, Simone Cunningham stole the show with 13 points and 10 rebounds, her second double-double of the season.
🔼 Fine First Impression. You know what they say about first impressions, right?
Defensive midfielder Jeff Aktan made quite a first impression in his debut season with the Monarchs, starting 14 of 16 games and helping ODU earn a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in November.
With his play, the Wayne, N.J. native was recognized with a spot in the country’s top-100 freshman by TopDrawerSoccer.
🔼 More Than Just A Picture. Sure you may have seen Bob Bradlee sitting on the sidelines around Norfolk. You’ve probably enjoyed plenty of his pictures of the years.
But there’s plenty more than just pictures behind Bradlee and our own Max with Minium took us behind his story.
