The Monarchs are rolling into 2026 on a mission and we’re thrilled to recap what the squads have been up to over the holidays!

🔼 New Year, Same Dubs. The calendar may have changed, but the results are staying the same for the ODU women’s hoops squad.
After heading into the holiday break with a non-conference win, the Lady Monarchs continued their winning ways as they rolled into conference play, taking home victories over Georgia Southern and Georgia State, having won three straight games as Sun Belt play picks up.
En’Dya Buford filled up the stat sheet in the two conference wins, averaging 19.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg. She also reached 1,000 collegiate points in Saturday’s win over Georgia State.
🔼 Mission Complete. The stats and records would take hours to read off. His impact on the ODU football program is immeasurable.
Now, Taylor Heinicke can add one more line to his resume: ODU graduate.
The former ODU All-American quarterback recently earned his ODU degree.
🔼 Year Four: Complete. Playing on the East Coast for the first time in his career, former ODU alum Stone Smartt wrapped up his fourth season in the NFL with the New York Jets on Sunday.
Smartt, who battled nagging injuries throughout the year, finished with nine catches for 52 yards, along with racking up four tackles on special teams as well.
