🔼 Georgia On My Mind. Road wins are always difficult, especially in conference play.

For the ODU women’s soccer team, they used a second half comeback to earn their conference victory, using two goals in the final 30 minutes of the contest to grab a 2-1 victory at Georgia Southern on Saturday.

The Monarchs, who are now 8-1-4 overall, remain unbeaten in their last nine games and stay atop the Sun Belt East Division.

Andy Balcazar had a hand in both goals, assisting on freshman Dylan McEntarfer’s first colelgiate goal in the 64th minute and then four minutes later, scoring a goal of her own, which provided to be the game-winner.

🔼 Cat Scratch Fever. The ODU field hockey team felt the love in the City of Brotherly Love this weekend, rolling to a decisive 4-1 road win at Villanova on Friday afternoon.

Avery Jackson got the scoring going early in the 11th minute. After Villanova responded, Sian Emslie gave the Monarchs the lead for good just before halftime.

ODU would ice the game in the fourth quarter, scoring two goals in the first two minutes of the period to seal the victory.

🔼 Point Taken. Heading into enemy territory, the ODU men’s soccer team grabbed another point in the Sun Belt standings, earning a 1-1 draw against South Carolina on Friday night.

Lewis Rourke scored a goal in the 24th minute to give the Monarchs an early lead, but the Gamecocks responded quickly with a goal of their own.

Both defenses would lock down from there as the two teams both earned a critical point in the league race.
