🔼 Coming Soon To Arenas Near You. Tomorrow night, Monarch fans will get their first real peek at what’s coming for ODU men’s basketball in the 2026-27 season.
Longtime rival VCU will arrive in Norfolk tomorrow for a 7 p.m. exhibition showdown at Chartway Arena.
The contest marks the beginning of head coach Mike Jones' third season at the helm as ODU looks to build momentum and chemistry with plenty of new faces filling up the Monarch roster.
For ODU, the contest is the first of two preseason exhibitions, with Virginia State visiting Chartway Arena on October 24 before ODU officially opens the regular season against Western Michigan on November 2.
🔼 Down The Stretch. With only four regular season left on the docket, the ODU women’s soccer team will look to try and stay near the top of the Sun Belt standings with the conference tournament looming next month.
The Monarchs, who currently sit in third place, welcome Georgia Southern to town on Sunday afternoon in a crucial conference showdown with only four points separating third and 12th place in the league.
ODU has only lost one conference match and will look to put their stifling defensive unit on display once again.
Kickoff at the ODU Soccer Complex is set for 1 p.m.
🔼 Pilin’ ‘Em Up. For the second time in three weeks, Puneet Bajwa has been named the Sun Belt Women’s Golfer of the Week.
The fourth year standout from Mohali, India won the sixth annual Evie Odom last weekend at Princess Anne Golf Club with a seven-under par 203. She led ODU with 11 birdies and 39 putts for par over the two days.
This marks the fourth career weekly honor for Bajwa and her second this fall after earning the distinction back on Oct. 1. It’s also the third time a Monarch has been named Golfer of the Week this fall after Lucia Gonzalez was selected on Sept. 24.
