Ok, ok, maybe it wasn’t that long ago, but thats what five weeks away will do to us!

The ODU football squad returns to Ballard Stadium for the first time since Sept. 14th when the red-hot Bobcats of Texas State visit Norfolk for a tall task and critical Sun Belt matchup.

🔼 Crown Him. What a weekend for the Monarchs!

Not just one, but ✌️ ODU men’s tennis standouts reached the ITA Atlantic Region semifinals with sophomore Connor van Schalkwyk becoming the first Monarch since 2021 to bring home the ITA Regional title.

In van Schalkwyk’s championship victory, he took down 20th-ranked Dylan Dietrich of UVA in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

With the win, van Schalkwyk is now qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas from Nov. 19-24.

🔼 Power Pair. With the season just over three weeks away, the ODU women’s hoops squad earned some preseason praise on Monday.

The Lady Monarchs were picked third amongst the 14 Sun Belt teams, while the duo of En’Dya Buford (Second Team) and newcomer Kelsey Thompson (Third Team) earned spots on the Preseason All-Sun Belt squads.

🔼 On The Board. Gusty winds created tough conditions, but senior Philip Minnehan proved even tougher.

The co-captain of the ODU men’s golf team grinded out a three-round score of six-under par to earn a top-10 finish at the Phoenix Invitational this week. He led the way for the Monarchs, who finished eighth overall in a 15-team field.

🎙 INSIDE THE LIONS’ DEN

In episode 3️⃣ of Voice From the Lions’ Den, hosts Ted Alexander and Ryan Parncutt go in-depth with the veteran field hockey duo of Lauren Holbrook and Frederique Zandbergen to talk about their journeys and the team’s success as they head towards the conference tournament early next month.
