📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Just In Time. The ODU women’s soccer team found the back of the net just in time on Sunday afternoon, using two goals in the final 12 minutes of the game to secure a 2-1 victory over visiting Georgia Southern.
With three regular season matches remaining, the Monarchs secure a crucial three points and sit in second place in the current Sun Belt standings.
Hannah Morgan blasted home a penalty kick in the 78th minute and Madison Telmer fired home the game-winner in the 88th minute for the Monarchs.
🔼 Doublin’ Up. ODU Field Hockey extended its winning streak to four games with a weekend of not one, but two one-goal victories.
On Friday, the Monarchs picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win at Temple and capped off the weekend with a thrilling 4-3 overtime win at Richmond.
Serena Langendoen led the way with a hat trick, including the game-winner, against the Spiders on Sunday, while Sofia Marciano provided the game-winner in Friday’s winner over the Owls.
ODU is now set to return home for a highly anticipated BIG EAST matchup against No. 3 UConn on Friday afternoon.
🔼 Two Weeks Away. In exactly two weeks, we are waking up to GAME DAY for ODU hoops!
Fans will get their first chance to check out the ODU women’s hoops squad next Tuesday when they host Christopher Newport in exhibition action before the Monarchs’ season opener on November 2 in the first chapter of the SBC-MAC Challenge at Central Michigan.
With plenty of new faces joining the Monarch roster, head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones and her staff are hard at work building chemistry and preparing for another run in a competitive Sun Belt schedule.
