🔼 Preseason Praise. With the season less than two weeks away, expectations are on the rise for the ODU men’s hoops program.

This week, Robert Davis Jr. was named the Sun Belt’s Preseason Player of the Year and a Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team selection, while teammate Jordan Battle has earned a spot on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Third Team.

ODU was picked to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches Poll, receiving two first-place votes and 145 points.

🏀 More On The Preseason Accolades

🔼 Dynamic Duo. The expectations are on the rise for the women’s squad as well with a pair of their veteran leaders earning accolades this week.

En’Dya Buford was named to the Sun Belt Preseason First Team and Simone Cunningham to the Sun Belt Preseason Third Team.

ODU was picked to finish fourth in the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll.

🔼 Super Serena. When you net not just one, but ✌️ overtime game-winners, you bound to earn some praise.

That was the case for ODU’s Serena Langendoen, who was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Monarchs to back-to-back overtime wins over Temple and Delaware this past weekend.

🔼 Regional Rumble. This past weekend, the ODU women’s tennis program stepped on the court to compete against the region’s best at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships in Blacksburg, Va.

64 players from 20 different universities battled for the top spot with ODU’s Kira Matushkina and Marina Markina both reaching the round of 16 at the event.
