It is the 12th all-time meeting between the two programs as both squads look to fight their way up the Sun Belt standings.
Defensively, ODU will lean on Lucas Struck, who leads the team with 61 tackles, and Koa Naotala, who has recorded a team-high eight tackles for loss and four sacks.
Kickoff on ESPN+ is set for 1 p.m.
🔼 Mark Your Calendars. With the season just days away now, ODU fans will want to get out their calendars for upcoming visits to Chartway Arena.
This week, the Monarch men’s and women’s hoops squads unveiled their promotional schedules for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
🔼 Diamond Days. The fall may be in full swing, but we’re already thing about spring time and days spent at the Ellmer Family Baseball Complex with the Monarchs.
This week, ODU baseball and head coach Chris Finwood announced the squad’s full 2027 slate.
The 2027 season will mark the full debut of the Ellmer Family Baseball Complex, Old Dominion’s new on-campus home for baseball. The Monarchs will play 32 games in Norfolk, giving fans a full slate of home dates to experience the new ballpark for the first time.
The campaign features games against 12 opponents that finished in the Top 100 in RPI last season, including seven that were in the Top 50, as well as six teams that played in the NCAA Regionals.
🔼 Buddy Up. ODU Athletics is teaming up with Frost Buddy to launch an exclusive collection of special-edition ODU-branded Universal Buddy can coolers celebrating Monarch football and basketball, along with a different design for baseball.
Each collectible design will commemorate a unique aspect of ODU Athletics and be available for purchase at select concession’s locations during home athletic events.
The collection, priced at $40 per can cooler, will debut during ODU Football's Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 31, at S.B. Ballard Stadium and will be available for basketball beginning on November 2 when men’s basketball opens its season at Chartway Arena.
