🔼 In The Action. With the start of the season less than 30 days away, it’s time to jump into the middle of practice with the Monarchs.
Newcomer Bubu Benjamin throws on the mic and takes inside the preparation for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
🔼 Getting Defensive. For the third week in a row, the ODU women’s soccer program has brought home Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
This time, it was fourth-year standout Libby Holmes who earned the recognition.
Holmes scored the game-winning goal in the Silver and Blue’s 1-0 win against South Alabama on Saturday night. Old Dominion’s back line held the Jaguars to four shots and two shots on target while the Monarchs earned their fourth consecutive and sixth clean sheet of the season.
The England native followed Ellie Goodrich (Sept. 22) and Ashlynn Kulha (Sept. 29) in earning the weekly award.
🔼 Looking Ahead. The ODU Football squad is back in action this weekend as they get set to head south to battle App State in another Sun Belt showdown.
This week, Coach Rahne sat down with the local media to preview the upcoming matchup with the Mountaineers.
🔼 Sailing Away. The season is heating up for the ODU sailing squad as the Monarchs completed up and down the East Coast, from Dartmouth all the way to Charleston.
ODU finished in sixth and ninth at the Van Duyne Trophy, 10th at the Women’s ACC Championship Round One, and 11th at the Charleston Fall Regatta.
