🔼 Honoring A Legend. There’s no better way to honor a legend than playing the game he poured so many years into.

On a night when the two programs paid tribute to Paul Webb, the ODU Monarchs pulled away from in-state rival and D-III powerhouse Randolph-Macon, 71-55, on Tuesday night at Chartway Arena.

Sean Durugordon tallied his second double-double in the past three games, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jaden Johnson chipped in 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, while R.J. Blakney was the third Monarch in double-figures with 10 on the night.

🔼 Movin’ On. And the hunt continues for Sofia Johnson.

The ODU women’s tennis star, who entered the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships ranked eighth nationally, quickly advanced to the Round of 32 with a 6-4, 6-2 victory on Tuesday.

Up next is a date with Auburn’s DJ Bennett this morning in Waco for a chance to reach the Sweet 16.

🔼 PrODU. As we enter the second half of the NFL season, it’s time to check in on our ODU family shining on the biggest stage.

Nick Saldiveri has played in every game for the New Orleans Saints this season, including earning his first six starts of his young pro career. He has seen action in over 50-percent of the snaps this year, earning time on the offensive line and on special teams.

Rick Lovatto continues his lengthy NFL career, playing in all 10 of Philadelphia’s game as the long snapper. He is now 10 seasons into his pro career, playing in a total of 132 games.

Stone Smartt is one of the league’s best turnaround, hauling in three catches this year for the Los Angeles Chargers, who are in contention for a playoff spot.
