🔼 Senior Salute. No way to send off your seniors than with a W, right?

That’s exactly what the ODU football squad will be looking to achieve on Saturday when the Panthers of Georgia State roll into town for the regular season finale.

Coming off a dominating road win at Georgia Southern last weekend, the Monarchs will be looking to reach nine regular season wins for just the second time in the program’s FCS era.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Ballard Stadium.

🔼 Class Acts. Six ODU women’s soccer standouts will have some new hardware to show off at the Thanksgiving table this week.

On Tuesday, six Monarchs were selected to the 2025-26 CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-District Team.

The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Those earning all-district honors required a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 without rounding up and must’ve either started in 66% or competed in 90% of all matches. 

Yuliia Khrystiuk (3.53 GPA), Ashlynn Kulha (3.63 GPA), Katie Lutz (3.66 GPA), Katie McCormick (3.91 GPA), Riley Mullen (3.81 GPA), and Gry Boe Thrysoe (3.99 GPA) were all selected. 

🔼 Rising Up. Former ODU baseball standout John Holobetz moved into the Red Sox’s Top-30 prospects this week after bursting onto the scene this past spring.

Playing for three different teams in Boston’s organization, Holobetz went 8-4 in 19 starts, posting a 3.09 ERA while striking out 120 and opposing hitters piling up just a .239 average against.

As we mentioned, the Monarchs will be going for regular season win #9 for just the second time in program history in Saturday’s finale against Georgia State.
