🔼 Let’s Go Bowling. It was the perfect time for the most complete game in a month for the ODU football team, who blew past ULM, 31-6, on Saturday afternoon to become bowl eligible for the fourth time in school history.
It is the earliest in program history that the the Monarchs are bowl eligible.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Colton Joseph passed for 231 yards and rushed for 16 times for 72 yards three touchdowns as the Monarchs dominated from start to finish.
Defensively, ODU was stifling. The Monarchs sacked ULM quarterback Aidan Armenta five times -- the Warhawks had given up just 10 sacks in their previous eight games.
ODU next plays against Troy on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at S.B. Ballard Stadium in a game to be televised by ESPN. In addition, ESPN’s SportsCenter will broadcast live from Kaufman Mall from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.
🔼 Showtime! After months of waiting, the ODU Hoops are FINALLY BACK!
The 2025-26 season officially kicks off with the third edition of the MAC-SBC challenge.
The women welcome UMass to Chartway Arena for a 6:30 p.m. showdown, while the men are set to travel to square off against Miami (Ohio) at 7 p.m.
🔼 Trophy Hunting. The quest begins this afternoon as the second-seeded ODU women’s soccer team is set to open up play at the 2025 Sun Belt Tournament.
The Monarchs won the East Division to earn the #2 seed and will square off with Georgia State, who ODU defeated 2-1 this past Wednesday in Norfolk.
After winning the tournament in 2022 and 2023, the Monarchs lost in the semifinals last season. ODU is looking to bring home the trophy once again.
Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. in today’s tournament opener.
🔼 Drive To Five. Old Dominion women’s rowing competed in nine events at the Head of the Occoquan on Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs’ 2V8+ finished in first place and outpaced the runner-up Georgetown by eight seconds en route to ODU taking home five medals in their first race of the season.
