🔼 Texas Two-Step. For much of last season, the ODU women’s basketball team ranked among the nation’s best in bench scoring.

On Saturday in Dallas, Texas, it became apparent the Monarchs will have the same depth this season, getting 45 points from their reserves and putting up a big second half en route to a 79-70 road win at SMU.

En’Dya Buford paced the Monarchs with 19 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Simaru Fields hit three 3-pointers en route to 13 points, Mikayla Brown turned in a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Kelsey Thompson and Mariah Clayton contributed nine points each.

ODU’s reserves combined for 45 points, compared to just 12 points by SMU’s bench.

🔼 Super Sofia. Entering her final season of collegiate tennis, it’s quite obvious that Sofia Johnson is leaving everything on the court.

Her long resume grew even longer this past weekend as the London, England native added ITA Conference Master Champion to her long list of accomplishments and now she’s booked for the upcoming NCAA Singles Tournament later this month in Waco, Texas.

Johnson went a perfect 4-0 at the event, never even dropping a set in the tournament.
