The Chartway ODU Bowl Game Watch Party will be held on Wednesday, December 17 in the Big Blue Room at Chartway Arena.

All area access points including the Big Blue Room, VIP entrance, courtside seating, suites, and ODU’s regular game-day entrances will open at 4:30 p.m. for guests with a ticket to the men’s basketball game versus James Madison that evening.

The bowl game will be played on every TV inside of the arena as well as on the arena’s videoboard, in the VIP areas, and in the suites.

🔼 In The Lab. We are less than a week away from the fourth bowl appearance in ODU history when the Monarchs head south to compete in the StaffDNA Cure Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

Lining up across from ODU will be South Florida, who brings a 9-3 record into the matchup, including a victory over Power 4 Florida earlier this year.

Kickoff from Camping World Stadium is set for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 on ESPN.

🔼 Hello, Old Friend. Final exams on campus aren’t the only thing that the ODU men’s hoops team is prepping for as the Monarchs are set to return to the court tomorrow with a big test against an old friend.

The Monarchs head north to battle former conference foe and long-time rival, George Mason, in a Saturday afternoon showdown in Fairfax.

It’s the 61st meeting all-time between the two programs, but the first since 2022-23.

George Mason is off to one of its best starts in program history, entering tomorrow’s showdown at 9-1.

Tip-off tomorrow is set for 12:30 p.m.

🔼 The Spring Slate. Winter may be out in full force, but the Monarchs are thinking about the spring already!

Head Coach Theresa Walton and the ODU lacrosse program unveiled their 2026 schedule, which is highlighted by nine home matches.

“We are fired up for this year’s 2026 season to get underway this spring. We feel good about the balance we'll face in our out-of-conference slate and how each game will position us for a strong showing once conference play begins,” said Coach Walton. “We’re looking to build off the fight we showed last year in conference, and we know this team is ready to elevate that intensity even more this season.”
