🔼 Top 10. Led by the linebacker play of Koa Naotala, the Monarchs piled up 10 All-Sun Belt team accolades this week.

Leading the team with 88 tackles this fall, Naotala was named to the Second Team, while offensive lineman Zach Barlev, tight end Pat Conroy, wide receiver Isiah Paige, defensive lineman Kris Trinidad and safety Jahron Manning all earned third-team accolades.

Quarterback Colton Joseph, running back Aaron Young, defensive lineman Denzel Lowry and linebacker Mario Thompson received honorable mention recognition.

🔼 High Five. Coming off a season in which they spent most of the fall amongst the nation’s best teams, the ODU field hockey program added more accolades to the 2024 resume.

This week, five Monarchs were named to the NFHCA All-Region squads.

Seniors Tess Jedeloo and Frederique Zandbergen were selected to the South Region First Team. Goalkeeper Suus Broers, midfielder Sian Emslie, and defender Serena Langendoen were selected to the South Region Second Team.

🔼 Power Pair. Oh don’t worry, we’re not done yet! We’ve got more honorees!

That’s right, the ODU women’s soccer team had their defensive duo recognized this week as the power pair of Ashlynn Kulha and Emily Bredek also were named to All-Region squads.

Kulha earned first-team United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region honors, while Bredek was named to the third team.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. The Monarch Family got a little bigger this week.

With the 2024 season in the rearview mirror, Coach Rahne and his staff locked up some pieces for the future of ODU football with the signing of 28 student-athletes in the first early signing period of the recruiting calendar.

The Monarchs added six offensive linemen, six wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end and one quarterback on offense. ODU added five defensive backs, three linebackers and four defensive linemen.
