That’s right, the ODU hoops teams are back in action at Chartway tomorrow with ✌️games on the docket and it’s about more than basketball tomorrow night for the Monarchs.

🏀 SCHEDULE SWITCH

Due to expected inclement weather that will impact the Hampton Roads area later this week, the start times for ODU men’s and women’s basketball games this Thursday, Feb. 20 have been adjusted.

The women’s game, originally scheduled as an 11 a.m. Education Day game against Arkansas State, will now be played at 2 p.m. Additionally, the men’s game against Marshall that was scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip will now begin at 5 p.m.

Sure, watching dunks, 3-pointers and thrilling action on the court is fun,
but doing that AND helping out a local child, how can you beat that?

Next week, the ODU faithful have that opportunity as anyone who buys a ticket to Thursday’s home game (Feb. 20) against Marshall, will have money donated towards the Chartway Promise, which is helping send

Buy a ticket for the home game against Marshall TOMORROW NIGHT and ODU will donate $1 for Isaiah, who has Sickle Cell Disease.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Putting Out The Flames. Facing off against another in-state foe, the ODU men’s tennis team picked up their third win in the past four matches, dropping Liberty, 4-2, on Tuesday at Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.

Cosme Rolland De Ravel helped lead the way with a victory in doubles action and the match-clinching victory at #1 singles.

🔼 Eyes On The Prize. While it’s not exactly pool weather outside, it’s perfect pool weather inside and the ODU swim teams are excited about the week ahead.

Starting today, both the men’s and women’s team will kick things off at their conference championship meets.

The women are in Orlando for the Sun Belt meet, while the men hit the pool in Knoxville to compete in the Atlantic Sun championship event.

🔼 Pair To Praise. The ODU lacrosse team is off to a hot start this spring, jumping out to a 3-1 record to open the 2025 campaign.

Helping lead the Monarchs to a strong start have been McKenzie Raech and Sarah Murrell, who both earned American Atlantic Conference weekly accolades on Monday.

Raech was named Defender of the Week, while Murrell took home Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

🎙️ ON THE MIC

The ODU Basketball: Keeping Up With The Joneses Coaches Show was BACK for another episode this past Monday at Recovery Sports Grill in Norfolk from 6-7 pm.

Hosted by Matthew Hatfield, the Voice of the Lady Monarchs, he was joined by both Head Coaches, Mike Jones and DeLisha Milton-Jones, who will talk about both team’s games this weekend and the outlook heading towards the upcoming Sun Belt Conference tournaments next month.
