🔼 Bank On It. In their final showing at home, the ODU women’s basketball team made sure the Chartway Arena faithful enjoyed every last second, literally.

With time running down on the game clock, Kelsey Thompson drove the lane and kicked out to Simaru Fields, who banked in a 3-pointer with under three seconds remaining to give the Lady Monarchs a second straight win, a 68-66 victory over visiting Georgia Southern.

On a day that ODU honored its seniors, it was Thompson who led the way with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Brenda Fontana, playing in her final home game, chipped in 12 points and five rebounds in the win.

🔼 Four Stars. The weather may have caused a last minute change for the ODU women’s lacrosse team, but that didn’t derail the Lady Monarchs.

In a gritty, back-and-forth battle, ODU picked up an 11-8 victory over Campbell on Saturday, in a game that was originally scheduled to be played in Norfolk.

Junior transfer Alex Kulinski led the way with four goals on the day, while freshman Sarah Murrell continued her outstanding season with her third hat trick of the season.

Less than a month into the 2025 season, ODU has already surpassed the win total from last spring.

🔼 Mining For Ws. Through the first six games of the 2025 season, one thing is pretty clear for ODU baseball fans, you might lose some fingernails this spring.

The largest margin in any game the Monarch have played this spring is four with three of the being one-run ball games.

This past weekend, ODU was the one clawing their way to victory as the Monarchs capped off a series victory at Charlotte with a thriller as Kyle Edwards’ three-run HR in the top of the ninth grabbed a 7-6 road victory to take the rubber match between the two programs.
