ODU Rolls Past Norfolk State In Midweek Action

🔼 Mashing Monarchs. After traveling all over the country last season, the ODU baseball team is enjoying the city of Norfolk to start the 2026 campaign.
The Monarchs played their first road game of the season and made sure to bring their bats with them, rolling past Norfolk State, 15-0, in midweek action.
ODU reached base in 23 of their 41 plate appearances, using a seven-run fourth inning to spark the victory. Maverick Stallings led the way with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with three RBIs, while Zach Leite added three RBIs to his season total of 19 for the Monarchs.
On the mound, five different pitchers combined for the shutout, allowing just three hits and striking out eight in seven innings of work.

The ODU lacrosse team grabbed its first home victory of the season on Wednesday, using a fast start to propel past visiting Gardner-Webb, 12-8.
Four different Monarchs scored two goals apiece in the win over the Bulldogs, led by Ella Bowen, who finished with two goals and two assists on the day.
🔼 Closing It Out. By this time next week, only 16 Sun Belt basketball teams (eight men, eight women) will be remaining at the league tournament in Pensacola, Fla.
Tonight, the ODU squads will close out the regular season on the road.
At 6:30, the Lady Monarchs will hit the court in Boone, N.C. to take on App State. A victory for ODU would secure a top-six seed in next week’s tournament and automatically put them in the round of eight.
Shortly after, the men will tip-off in Atlanta against Georgia State and could earn a first-round bye with a win over the Panthers.
