🔼 X Marks The Spot. After back-to-back offensive battles last week, the ODU lacrosse team flexed its defensive muscles on Tuesday, gutting out a hard-fought 5-4 win against visiting Xavier.

The victory is the fourth in the past five games for the Monarchs.

Brynn Bowen and the defensive unit were outstanding, limiting the Musketeers to just two goals in the final three quarters, while the senior goalie racked up 11 saves in the contest.

Five different Monarchs found the back of the net, with Ashley Greene leading the squad in points with two assists on the day.

🔼 One More. Wearing the “C” on his jersey, former ODU standout Vinnie Pasquantino has his Italian squad just one win away from earning a spot in the knockout stage of the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

On Tuesday night, Pasquantino and the Italians pulled off a shocker, upsetting the star-studded USA team, 8-6, to remain perfect at 3-0 in the round robin action.

A victory night over Mexico punches Italy’s third ticket to the quarterfinal round.

🔼 Weekend Work. The action is picking up for the ODU sailing squad as its season kicks into high gear.

This past weekend, the Monarchs placed first in the Diamondback Women’s Fleet Race, fifth at the John Jackson Memorial Team Race, and sixth in the Jen Harris Team Race over the weekend.

A new partnership has linked up with the Monarch family.

Last week, the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF) officially launched PAC Fund, powered by Paciolan, a new digital platform designed to streamline charitable giving while providing donors with greater visibility and control over their support of Old Dominion Athletics.

PAC Fund centralizes the donor experience by allowing donors to manage their giving in one convenient location. Through the platform, donors can view their giving history, set up and manage pledge schedules, renew annual contributions, and access their ODAF priority point totals all in one secure, user-friendly platform.
