🔼 Battle To Brag. For the second time this spring, the ODU baseball team will square off with crosstown rival, Norfolk State, this afternoon at Ellmer Family Baseball Complex.
The Monarchs won the front end of the home-and-home series in February, bringing home a 15-0 victory in six innings. ODU has won 10 of its past 11 meetings with the Spartans.
First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
🔼 Not So Fast, My Friend. After dropping the first two points of the match, the 75th-ranked ODU men’s tennis team flexed its muscle and responded with four straight singles victories to take down FAU, 4-2, in midweek action.
In their past 11 matches, the Monarchs are 8-3.
🔼 Young Gun. Playing less than 100 miles from his hometown of Cary, N.C., freshman Quin Covington of the ODU men’s golf team posted the best finish of his young career to lead the Monarchs at the ECU Intercollegiate this week.
Covington finished with a five-over to earn his first Top-15 finish, landing in 13th on the overall leaderboard.
The freshman led the Monarchs to a sixth-place overall team finish.
