🔼 Court Is In Session. With conference action heating up for the ODU tennis squads, the Monarchs flexed their muscles over the weekend, combining to go 4-0, including a perfect 3-0 showing against conference opponents.
The men’s team swept Georgia Southern (4-0) on Saturday and followed it up with a non-conference win on Sunday over Elon (4-2).
The women picked up a pair of Sun Belt victories over App State (5-2) and Marshall (4-3).
🔼 Back To Work. The ODU Football team returned to the practice fields this weekend to continue its spring ball work.
🔼 Class Act. This season, the success wasn’t limited to just the court for ODU men’s hoops standout KC Shaw.
Last week, Shaw was named to the CSC 2025-26 Academic All-District Team. The 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances both on the court and in the classroom.
A senior guard from Charlotte, North Carolina, Shaw started all 29 games he appeared in this season and was ODU’s leading scorer with 16.8 ppg. He finished the season with 488 points, 124 rebounds (4.3 rpg), 64 assists, 13 steals, and eight blocks and scored in double figures 25 times, including 17 times against Sun Belt opponents.
🦁 MONARCH TRIVIA
Tonight in Arizona, ODU legend Justin Verlander will toe the rubber to make his 556 career start in his 21st Major League season. He will be looking for victory number 267 in the big leagues.
