🔼 And Here We Go…. The time has come. The lights are on. It’s showtime for the ODU men’s hoops squad.

The Monarchs hit the floor at the Pensacola Bay Center TONIGHT at 8:30 pm when they take on Louisiana in the second day of action at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

In the regular season, the two teams met only once in Louisiana back on Jan. 9th when Sean Durugordon scored 20 points to lead ODU to a 71-60 victory over the Ragin’ Cajuns

🔼 A Pair to Praise. Before the action gets started for the Monarchs in Pensacola, a pair of hoop standouts were honored with spots on the All-Sun Belt Conference teams.

On the women’s side, En’Dya Buford was the leading scorer for ODU all season long and earned a spot on the Second Team, while the men’s leading scorer, Sean Durugordon was selected to the Third Team.

🔼 Getting Defensive. For the second time this season, McKenzie Raech of the ODU lacrosse team is bringing home a weekly accolade.

Raech has been a key cog to the Monarchs’ hot start to the 2025 season and this past week, her defensive work in ODU’s 7-4 win at Lafayette earned her American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.

The Wallingford, Pa. native forced two caused turnovers and secured three draw controls in the victory. For the year, Raech leads the Monarchs with nine caused turnovers and is tied for first with Sarah Murrell with 30 draw controls this season.

The ODU Basketball: Keeping Up With The Joneses Coaches Show was BACK for special Tourney Time episode last night at Norfolk’s Waters Edge Winery & Bistro.

Hosted by Matthew Hatfield, the Voice of the Lady Monarchs, he was joined by both Head Coaches, Mike Jones and DeLisha Milton-Jones, who both talked about their team’s games this past weekend and the outlook heading towards the upcoming Sun Belt Conference tournaments.
