🔼 Tomorrow, Tomorrow. It’s been four months since we’ve seen Monarch Football in action. That all changes tomorrow as the Priority Charity Bowl ODU Spring Game is set for 2 p.m. at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

This annual spring football tradition—free and open to the public—marks the culmination of ODU’s spring practice and offers fans a unique opportunity to get an early look at the 2026 Monarchs. Gates will open at 1 p.m.

Immediately following the game, ODU will host its second annual Fan Field Day, turning the field into an interactive experience for the whole family. Fans will have the rare chance to go on the field to meet ODU Football players and coaches. The event will feature autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and on-field activities for fans of all ages—including chances to win exclusive ODU fan packs.

🔼 Midweek Magic. Sometimes, all it takes is a little magic. That’s what the ODU Baseball team pulled out on Wednesday, earning a hard-fought 10-9 midweek victory over visiting Richmond to sweep the season series against the Spiders.

Jack Slater’s RBI single in the bottom of the ninth delivered the game-winning run, while Maverick Stallings continued his hot streak with a 3-for-4 night with a three-run HR, a double, three runs and four RBIs on the evening.

Tyler Stott, a senior from Las Vegas, Nevada, earned his first career victory. ODU starter Nick Sulpizio went four innings and held the visitors to one run on one hit and three walks while striking out five.

🔼 Chasing History. The postseason has arrived for the ODU men’s tennis program.

Winners of seven of their past eight, the Monarchs earned the No. 1 seed for this weekend’s Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Rome, Ga.

ODU is looking to secure its fourth-straight SBC Championship after besting second seed Georgia Southern for the title last year.

🔼 A True Legend. The longest tenured coach in Old Dominion Athletics history, ODU Men’s Golf Head Coach Dr. Murray Rudisill is set to retire at the conclusion of the 2026 season.

A seven-time conference coach of the year, Rudisill has led the Monarchs to a pair of conference championships, and he won four state championships. He won his Virginia State Championships in 1983, 84, 86, 92, and 93 and won CAA Championships in 2003 and 2007. In 2003 the Monarchs finished 15th at the NCAA West Regional and in 2007 ODU took 22nd in the NCAA East Regional.

🔼 Showin’ Spirit. The Old Dominion Cheerleading team traveled to Daytona Florida this past weekend to compete in the NCA College Nationals Competition. The Monarchs placed fifth overall in the Intermediate Small Coed Division IA on Saturday night.

With a score of 81.966 on day one, ODU placed third out of 10 teams marking the first time the Monarchs have placed within top three in head coach Tara Lynn Hilbert’s seven year tenure at Old Dominion.1.25 deductions were given due to a major building fall.
