🔼 Eye On The Prize. The hunt for number six will start on Friday for the ODU women’s tennis team.

Sitting as the 59th-ranked team in the country, the Monarchs earned the top seed in this week’s Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Rome, Ga. It marks the eighth straight season that ODU will be the top seed for the conference tournament.

The Monarchs will look to earn its fourth-straight Sun Belt Conference Championship and sixth-straight overall.

🔼 In The Hunt. Old Dominion women’s golf is tied for fourth place with an 18-over par 594 after the first two rounds of stroke play at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

The Monarchs improved by 12 strokes on day two of the tournament, combining for a three-over 291 on Tuesday. ULM is leading the 13-team field with a four-over 580, App State and Texas State are tied for second at 11-over 587, and ODU is even with Coastal Carolina.

The top four teams after Wednesday's last round of stroke play will advance to Thursday morning's match play semifinals, with the final match set for Thursday afternoon.

🔼 Called to The Hall. You have to have had a stellar basketball career, including international success, to win a place in the Fédération Internationale de Basketball Hall of Fame.

But it takes more than just success on the court. You must have worked to promote the game in your home country and around the world, and it helps if along the way, you helped lift thousands of young women out of poverty.

Former Old Dominion women’s basketball star Clarisse Machanguana has done all of the above in her storied career and has been rewarded this week with a place in the FIBA Hall of Fame.

🔼 Join The Party. Who doesn’t love a little party to start off the week?

ODU will host a Watch Party for the NCAA Tennis Selection Show on Monday, April 27. The show begins at 4 p.m.

The selection show will be held in the APR room at the LR Hill Sports Complex. The doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and parking will be available in Lot 43. The event is free and open to the public.
