🏈 SPRINGIN’ INTO ACTION

Clear the calendars, ODU fans.

The Priority Charity Bowl ODU Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

This annual spring football tradition—free and open to the public—marks the culmination of ODU’s spring practice and offers fans a unique opportunity to get an early look at the 2025 Monarchs. Gates are set to open at 1 p.m.

Immediately following the game, ODU will host its first-ever Fan Field Day, turning the field into an interactive experience for the whole family. Fans will have the rare chance to go on the field to meet ODU Football players and coaches, along with student-athletes from ODU Men’s Basketball and Women’s Tennis. The event will feature autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and on-field activities for fans of all ages—including chances to win exclusive ODU fan packs.

🔼 The Boys Are Back In Town. Today kicks off yet another chance to see the ODU baseball team in action as they are set to host nationally-ranked Troy for their second of five weekends in Norfolk.

The two teams will square off at Harbor Park this weekend with first pitch of tonight’s game set for 6 pm.

🔼 Super Sofia. Not sure if her fridge has any more space, but she’s going to need it.

Johnson completed another perfect weekend for the Monarchs, going unbeaten at No. 1 singles and doubles. In the Monarchs' win over James Madison at No. 1 singles, she defeated Daria Munteanu of JMU, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 1 doubles, Johnson and teammate Victoria Matasova won by a 6-2 scoreline.

🔼 Class Acts. Not only did En’dya Buford, Brenda Fontana, and Kelsey Thompson have strong seasons on the court for the Lady Monarchs, they carried their success into the classroom.

This week, the trio were all named to the CSC 2024-25 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances both on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for the award, recipients must achieve a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and must either play in 90% of their games during the season or start in at least 66% of games.
