📈 STOCK UP

🔼 On The Prowl. No better way to secure a postseason berth than against your longtime rival, right?

Fresh off taking down #8 Coastal Carolina this past weekend, the Monarchs welcome the Dukes of JMU into town for the TowneBank Royal Rivalry matchup.

A series victory by ODU would secure a spot in next week’s Sun Belt Tournament.

First pitch this week is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, 3 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

🔼 Cruisin’ Along. ODU women’s golf standout Barbara Car cruised through the second round of the NCAA Louisville Regional on Tuesday, firing an even round 72, moving up a spot to sit in a tie for 30th heading into today’s final round of stroke play.

Car currently is 1-over for the regional as she is set to tee off from the 10th hole at 9:50 a.m. this morning. She will be playing alongside South Carolina’s Maylis Lamoure and Belmont’s Sloane Biddle.

🔼 Leading The Way. Coming off the first 10-win season for ODU since 2016, the Monarchs Head Football Coach Ricky Rahne was honored this week as he was named the recipient of the J. Roy Rodman Memorial Award for Virginia’s Outstanding Collegiate Coach, as given by the Norfolk Sports Club.

Rahne led the Monarchs to a 10-3 record in 2025, finishing the season on a six-game winning streak and defeating South Florida in the StaffDNA Cure Bowl, 24-10.

🔼 Smarty ‘Cats. The success wasn’t limited to the water this year for the ODU sailing program.

This week, the Monarchs had five sailors selected to the 2025-26 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association’s All-Academic Team. Gianna Dewey, Emil Body-Goldberg, Blake Goodwin, Cadence Goodnight, and Kristin Johnson were selected this year.

The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in seven regattas (2025-2026) and have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

🏀 DANCIN’ WITH DREW

Few college basketball players or coaches ever get to participate in a Final Four. After all, only four of the 316 Division I teams make it each season.

Former ODU guard Drew Williamson has now been there twice on the sidelines – in 2023 as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic and then again earlier this spring, when Michigan got to the national championship game in Indianapolis.
