🔼 Scotty Too Hotty. This time of year, each win is bigger than the last.

That was the case yet again for the ODU Baseball team, who leaned on Scotty Young once again to earn a HUGE series victory over Arkansas State over the weekend.

Young played hero for the second-time in the past week, delivering an RBI single in Sunday’s series finale to seal a 5-4 victory over the Red Wolves and clinch the series, taking two-of-three from Arkansas State.

With two regular season Sun Belt series remaining, ODU sits in the seventh spot in the league standings with the top-10 spots earning a postseason berth.

🔼 A Season To Remember. The last time the ODU men’s tennis team won an NCAA Tournament match, head coach Dominica Manilla was on the team.

This time, he was on the sideline as the Monarchs swept past Gardner-Webb, 4-0, on Friday, to claim its first NCAA Tournament win since 2007.

The 57th-ranked Monarchs concluded the season on Saturday with a tough loss to top-ranked Wake Forest. ODU wrapped up the year with a 21-7 record.

🔼 Fresh Face. ODU women’s basketball head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones will have a new face next to her on the bench this upcoming season with the addition of Gee Lawler to her staff as an assistant coach and recruiting director.

Lawler is joining the Monarchs after spending a season at Tarleton State, where she oversaw the recruiting program and working with post players. She was a former student-athlete and coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and was a part of a coaching staff that won two Southland Conference Championships.
