🔼 Three’s Company. This week, a trio of ODU staples will be honored right at home.

The Norfolk Sports Club has found a home at Old Dominion University, and the club’s 79^th annual Jamboree later on this month will have a distinctive Monarch flavor.

Dr. Wood Selig, ODU’s long-time director of athletics, Head Football Coach Ricky Rahne and Ray Wittersheim, a long-time Monarch fan and booster, will all be honored at the Jamboree, to be held Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Big Blue Room of Chartway Arena.

🔼 Preseason Praise. The season may be 12 weeks away, but the accolades are already rolling in for the Monarchs.

First up, nine members of this year’s ODU football team earned a spot on Phil Steel’s Preseason All-Sun Belt team, including four on the first team squad.

Devin Roche, Chris Forbes, Koa Naotala and Mario Easterly were all honored with a spot on the First Team.

🔼 Another Piece To The Puzzle. The latest piece to the puzzle for ODU men’s hoops is a familiar face to the Sun Belt.

As the Monarchs unveil their seven transfers that round out the 2026-27 roster, head coach Mike Jones welcomes the third piece, a 5-foot 11-inch guard transferring in from Arizona State, Adante' Holiman.

Holiman is a McAlester, Oklahoma native who comes to Norfolk after previous stops at UTRGV, UTSA, Georgia Southern, and ASU.

During his one season in the Sunbelt at Georgia Southern in 2024-25, Holiman earned All-Sun Belt Third Team accolades, averaging a team-best 16.9 points per game for the Eagles, including 81 made 3-pointers.
