Old Dominion University Athletics will induct five new numbers into the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame.

TGIF, Monarch Nation. Old Dominion University Athletics will induct five new numbers into the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame. Nick Mayers (Football), Dana Sensenig (Field Hockey), Chris Haywood (Men’s Soccer), Jim Ambrose (Baseball) and Andy Zucker (Strength Coach) will be the 2025 ODU Sports Hall of Fame class and inducted on Friday, Sept. 26, in Chartway Arena.

🔼 This Event’s Got Hops. The Inaugural Roar & Pour Beer Festival to S.B. Ballard Stadium with Dozens of Virginia’s Best Breweries will debut on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 5-9 p.m. at S.B. Ballard Stadium on the campus of Old Dominion University.

The festival, presented by the Coastal Virginia Brewer Association in partnership with ODU Athletics, brings together 30+ breweries from around Virginia for an evening of unlimited tastings, live music, delicious food truck fare, and community connection under the stadium lights.

Jones is the first female head of sports medicine in ODU history. She is currently one of six female head athletic trainers in the Sun Belt Conference.

Jones comes to ODU after spending nearly five years at William & Mary. She worked with the men’s soccer team and assisted with football. She was elevated to an associate athletic trainer in 2023 before being named the head athletic trainer in 2024.

In a memorable high-scoring game, the Old Dominion football team overcame a 61–38 deficit to beat New Hampshire 64–61. That game featured 725 yards of total offense—including 336 passing and 389 rushing—that culminated in this killer comeback.
