In honor of the 50 days until ODU football season….

It’s a number that has sat at the top of the record books for over a decade.

ODU legend Taylor Heinicke lit up the scoreboard, stat sheet and record books in 2012 when he threw for nearly 400 yards per game and to this day, remains the only Monarch QB to reach 5000+ yards in a single season.

🔼 Beachin’ It. Some folks go to the beach for fun and relaxation in the summer.

Others go to step up their game and that’s exactly what the men’s hoops squad did this week, taking their summer workouts into the sand.

🔼 Smart Cookies. The success wasn’t just limited to athletic competition this year for the Monarchs.

This week, six ODU standouts earned VaSID Academic All-State Team accolades.

Women’s tennis’ Sofia Johnson, swimming’s Gustaf Hansson and Kiersten Donnelly, baseball’s Dylan Brown, women’s basketball’s En’Dya Buford, and lacrosse’s Callie Culhane were all selected.
