⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 5️⃣2️⃣ DAYS

In honor of the 52 days until ODU football season….

After a JUCO All-American career at Butte College, Purcellville native
Jonathan Bacigalupi returned to his home area last fall to line up for
the Monarchs on the defensive line.

Entering his redshirt junior season, Bacigalupi is ready to make some
noise with the ODU defensive unit for the squad this fall.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Golden Girl. Add another line to the resume for DeLisha Milton-Jones.

This past week, the Lady Monarchs head coach captured yet another gold medal, serving as the assistant coach to Team USA at the AmeriCup Tournament, in which the squad came away with the victory, defeating Brazil in Sunday’s championship game, 92-84.

🔼 Locked And Loaded. It may only be early July, but the anticipation for next ODU women’s hoops season continues to grow.

In this day and age of the transfer portal, head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones is locked and loaded for next year, returning four starters and welcoming a highly-touted incoming class.

🔼 Class Acts. This week, the ODU swimming programs earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-America honors. Men’s swimmers Bryce Mortimer and Zach Redding earned second team individual Scholar All-America honors.

To qualify for individual honors, swimmers must compile a 3.5 GPA and record an NCAA B-cut qualifying time. Mortimer earned his B-cut time in the 200 breaststroke, setting a school record in the process, while Redding notched his in the 50 free.
