Prior to tomorrow’s season opener, get to know first-year head coach Will Roberts as he takes over the reins of the women’s soccer program.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Let The Games Begin. For the first time in 278 days (not that we’ve been counting or anything), the ODU women’s soccer squad will step on the pitch tomorrow night for the 2026 season opener.
The ‘Cats will travel to in-state foe Virginia Tech to kickoff a new era under first-year head coach Will Roberts.
It will be the first official contest of the 2026-27 athletic calendar for ODU Athletics.
🔼 On The Mend. The 2026 MLB season has not been kind to ODU alums.
Every Monarch that has appeared in a big league game this season has seen time on the injured list, with most of them missing significant time.
However, one of them is on the mend as Vinnie Pasquantino begins his Triple-A rehab assignment for the Royals in a hopes of returning to the big league lineup in the next week or so.
Pasquantino has missed nearly 50 games with a wrist injury. He still remains ODU’s program leader with the most career big league HRs by an alum at 76.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of ODU Football this fall. The Monarchs will host
Norfolk State on September 5 at 6 p.m.
Looking for a possible breakout star for the ODU Football program this fall? Look no further than #2️⃣4️⃣ Dirrick Goodman.
The junior linebacker has had a monster offseason coming off last year, in which he played in all 13 games for the Monarchs.
In his two seasons at ODU, Goodman has played in 24 games, racking up 14 tackles, one TFL and one pass breakup.
A South Carolina native arrived on campus in 2024 after a stellar high school career, in which he was named the Lower State Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
