🔼 First Of Many. For the second straight season, the ODU women’s soccer team blanked the rival William & Mary Tribe, picking up a 1-0 victory on Sunday night in front of an electric crowd at ODU Soccer Complex.

In a defensive battle, freshman Ashley Economopoulos fired home her first collegiate goal off a feed from senior Yuliia Khrystiuk in the 67th minute for the game’s only goal.

Junior keeper Ellie Goodrich notched her first career shutout, registering three saves on the night.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Three games, three victories. We’re not math majors, but we think that’s a pretty good winning percentage.

The ODU men’s basketball capped off its week in Costa Rica with a 90-68 win over the Costa Rica national team this past Saturday night.

Jordan Battle finished with 20 points on 6-for-8 shooting from the floor. The senior knocked five three-pointers on seven attempts and also shot 3-for-4 at the free-throw line. The Norfolk native grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists, and added one steal to his final line.

Caelum Swanton-Rodger was next with 15 points after going 7-for-8 from the field. The senior from Calgary, Alberta, Canada gathered two boards with one assist on the night. KC Shaw and Zacch Wiggins finished with 11 points each and Scottie Hubbard contributed nine points.

🔼 In Good Company. Last season, Colton Joseph gave Monarchs fans a glimpse of what he can do under center for the ODU football program.

Now, he’s ready for more and the national eyes are watching the gunslinger as well as he was recently named to the Manning Award Watch List.

Joseph completed 133-of-122 passes last season for 1,627 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for 647 yards and 11 touchdowns, tying for fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in rushing touchdowns and finishing seventh in the league with 72 rushing yards per game.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣2️⃣ DAYS

In honor of the 12 days until ODU football season….

It didn’t take long for Jerome Carter to make his way onto the field
for the ODU football program.

As a true freshman, Carter played in all 12 games in 2024, both at
the safety position and on the special teams units.

The Lake City, Fla. native racked up 23 tackles and a pass breakup
and is ready for even more this upcoming fall.
