⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣0️⃣ DAYS

In honor of the 10 days until ODU football season….

Last fall was a breakout season for redshirt junior LB #1️⃣0️⃣ Koa Naotala,
who earned All-Sun Belt accolades after leading the Monarchs and ranked
in the top-10 in the conference with 88 tackles.

Over the past two seasons, the Newport News, Va. native has played
in 25 games, racking up 117 tackles, six TFLs and 3.5 sacks.

Last week, he was named to the Polynesian Player of the Year Watch List.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 The Boys Are Back. Last year, the Monarchs got the Tennant McVea era underway.

Tomorrow, year 2️⃣ gets kicking as ODU welcomes George Washington to Norfolk for the season opener at ODU Soccer Complex.

A mix of experienced returners and a nationally-ranked incoming recruiting class have expectations high for the Monarchs this fall.

🔼 Movin’ On Up. One of our own is on the move!

Earlier this week, former ODU hurler Trent Buchanan earned a promotion to High-A Rome with the Atlanta Braves organization.

The right-hander is having a tremendous spring, compiling a 4-0 record with 2.68 ERA in 37.0 innings of work, including tallying four saves for the Augusta Green Jackets.
