ODU men's hoops has plenty of new faces entering the upcoming 2026-27 season. One of the newest ones, Kylan Howze, joins the Behind The Reign podcast to talk about his path to Norfolk and what he's looking forward to this season.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. After a dominant start to the 2026 season last Thursday in a road win at George Washington, the ODU men’s soccer team is back at home for the first time this fall when the Phoenix of Elon University roll into town.
The Monarchs are looking for their first 2-0 start to a season since 2017.
Kickoff at the ODU Soccer Complex is set for 6 p.m.
🔼 Better Late Than Never. With class getting underway this week, the ODU men’s basketball program added one final piece to the puzzle for the 2026-27 roster.
Head Coach Mike Jones added a seventh and final transfer to the program with the signing of Lucio Martini, a 7-foot forward who has been playing in Italy’s Serie B national league and has two years of eligibility.
🔼 He’s Backkkkkk. It’s been a frustrating season for former ODU standout Vinnie Pasquantino with two stints on the injured list that have limited him to just 86 games.
This past week, he returned from his last stint with vengeance. He’s helped the Royals to nine straight victories, hitting .385 (10-for-26) with two HRs, six runs scored and five RBIs.
🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 1️⃣2️⃣ DAYS TIL KICKOFF
He may have only been at ODU for two years, but his impact on the Monarchs was much more than that.
Ronnie Cameron, who was inducted into the ODU Sports Hall of Fame in 2023, was named the 2011 CAA Defensive Player of the Year during an All-American season for the Monarchs.
In just two seasons, Cameron racked up 1️⃣2️⃣ sacks, which puts him seventh all-time.
