🏈 COUNTIN’ DOWN: 3️⃣3️⃣ DAYS TIL KICKOFF
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of ODU Football this fall. The Monarchs will host
Norfolk State on September 5 at 6 p.m.
Last November, the ODU football team shined under the bright lights of national TV, rolling to a dominant 3️⃣3️⃣-0 victory over Troy to clinch its first winning record in nine seasons and punched its ticket to a bowl game.
Playing on ESPN’s prime time Thursday night slot, the Monarchs bolted to a 20-0 first-half lead and coasted to their third victory in a row.
Devin Roche, the sophomore running back from Baltimore, had his best collegiate game, carrying 16 times for 145 yards. He also returned a punt for 49 yards.

🔼 Welcome Aboard. Old Dominion women’s soccer has officially announced the addition of 11 recruits to the 2026-27 roster, which includes eight first-year student-athletes, a fourth-year goalkeeper and two players head coach Will Roberts is familiar with from his time at ULM.

DICK'S House of Sport Chesapeake is set to host ODU Athletics for the third annual Fan Fest event on Saturday, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located in Greenbrier Square shopping center (1501 Sentinel Dr. Chesapeake, VA 23320), DICK'S House of Sport Chesapeake is the premier shopping location for all 2026 ODU Athletic wear! This event will feature new Under Armour product, ODU branded drinkware, tailgate essentials, local licensed vendors and falls on Virginia's tax-free weekend. Also, fans can expect to dance with Big Blue, interact with coaches, and participate in games for giveaways and prizes! Other special guests will be announced at a later date.

In this day and age of college football, it’s rare to see a student-athlete at one for school for his entire career. But Mario Easterly isn’t just another student-athlete.
With his final season at ODU on the horizon, Easterly sat down with Voice of the Monarchs, Ted Alexander, to reflect on his career and look forward to his final season in Norfolk.
