🔼 Setting The Slate. Before we know it, “Ice Cream and Cake” will be blaring at Chartway Arena and the Monarchs will be officially back.

You can officially start filling in dates on your calendar as the men’s hoops squad unveiled their full 2024-25 slate, while the women’s program released their Sun Belt conference schedule for the upcoming season.

🔼 Game Week. It’s been over two months since we’ve cheered on our Monarchs.

That changes this week as the 2024-25 athletic calendar officially kicks off on Thursday night when the reigning Sun Belt Champs return to the pitch with the women’s soccer squad hosting in-state rival, VCU, at 7 pm at the ODU Soccer Complex.

🔼 Young Gun. A new face for the Monarchs recently received some national praise.

David Weeks, who will be in his first season at ODU this fall, earned a spot on the 247 spots 30 Under 30 of college football coaches.

Weeks, who is handling the tight ends for the Monarchs, arrived in Norfolk after spending last season at Tennessee as an offensive analyst and the three years prior as the tight ends coach at Fordham.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 19 DAYS

Number of the Day: 19

After getting his first year in Norfolk under his belt,
#19 Jeremy Mack Jr. is ready to step up for the Monarchs this upcoming fall.

Mack arrived at ODU last year after spending the 2022 season at Colorado, where he racked up 46 tackles for the Buffaloes, finishing fourth on the team.

Last year, he earned his redshirt by only playing in four games,
including one start at Liberty.
