🏀 FOREVER A LEGEND

Pritchett is a member of the ODU Hall of Fame and the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame. He holds the school single-game scoring mark with 67 points during the 1968 season. He amassed 1,168 points in just two seasons with the Monarchs.

🔼 Feeling Golden. As we always say, once a Monarch, always a Monarch.

Although her time at ODU was cut short during COVID, Marie Reichert will forever be a part of the Monarch family and that Monarch pride is beaming this week as the former member of the women’s hoops program is feeling golden.

Reichert was a member of Germany’s 3×3 women’s team that took home gold this week in Paris. In the finals victory over Spain, she scored four of Germany’s 17 points.

She was a part of the Lady Monarchs from 2019-2021, playing in all 30 games during her freshman season at ODU.

🔼 The Boys Are Back. Make it three ODU squads officially underway as the Monarchs men’s soccer team began a new era this week with preseason training camp getting started.

Under first-year head coach Tennant McVea, ODU has three exhibitions on the docket before the 2024 campaign kicks off on Thursday, August 22 at George Washington.

🔼 Driving ‘Em Home. With just two months left in the MLB season, don’t look now, but the upstart Royals are right in the mix.

And one of our own is part of that core as Vinnie Pasquantino finds himself with 80 RBIs on the year, good for eighth in ALL of Major League Baseball.

Since the All-Star break, he is racking at a clip of .357 with five HRs and 18 RBI in just 17 games.

Last fall was yet another season in which
Jason Henderson torched opposing offenses.

He broke the program’s all-time record for tackles and still has
this fall to add to that record.

Last season, he set a career-high with 4.5 sacks that racked up
24 yards lost for the opposition.

Reichert scored in double-figures in four of her 30 appearances with the Monarchs. Three different times she scored a career-high 12 points, last coming on March 5, 2020 in the Conference USA tournament against UAB.
