The Ricky Rahne Coach’s Show is back TONIGHT at The Fishin’ Pig - Norfolk beginning at 6 p.m.
Hosted by Ted Alexander, the voice of ODU athletics, the show will be conducted live at The Fishin’ Pig from 6-7 p.m. and then aired at 7 p.m. on ESPN Radio 94.1 in Hampton Roads and will also be available on ESPNRadio941.com.
Alexander and Rahne will go over the highlights from previous weeks games and look ahead to the next weeks opponent and much more.

🔼 What A Run! Next stop: Cooperstown.
On Saturday, ODU legend Justin Verlander stepped onto the mound at Comerica Park for his final start as a Major Leaguer and what a career it was for the right-hander.
He was a 10-time All-Star, three-time Cy Young Award winner, two-time World Series Champion and the 2011 American League MVP.
In his 21 seasons, Verlander piled up 3,560 strikeouts, good for eighth all-time. He finished with 266 career victories, good for 37th-most in MLB history.
🔼 Sunday Funday. The 20th-ranked ODU field hockey squad put its potent offense on display once again at home, rolling to a dominant 5-1 win over visiting Saint Louis on Sunday afternoon.
Serena Langendoen continued her outstanding season with two more goals for the Monarchs, while Sofia Marciano, Josie Painter and Avery Jackson also found the back of the cage in the victory.
In their six wins this year, the Monarchs are averaging 4.5 goals per game.
ODU is right back in action tonight when they make the short trip to Williamsburg to battle William & Mary at 6 p.m.
🔼 Turning Heads. On the same weekend an ODU legend was honored for his soon-to-be Hall of Fame career, another former Monarch was recognized for his work on his path to the big leagues.
Southpaw Dylan Brown, who was picked in the 2025 MLB Draft out of ODU, was named the Minor League Pitcher of the Year for the Boston Red Sox.
Ranked as the Red Sox’ No. 19 prospect by MLB.com, the left-hander posted a 3.46 ERA with 143 strikeouts and a .236 opponent batting average over two minor league levels during his first professional season. He made five starts for Single-A Salem and pitched in 17 games (16 starts) for High-A Greenville. The Pennsylvania native led all Red Sox minor leaguers in strikeouts and ranked third in ERA.
🔼 Point Taken. The ODU women’s soccer team posted another point in the Sun Belt standings with a hard-fought scoreless draw at App State on Sunday afternoon.
The Monarchs still have not given up a goal through three conference matches and have not tallied five clean sheets this fall.
Up next, ODU returns home for back-to-back home matches, including a meeting with South Alabama on Saturday, October 3 at 7 p.m.
