📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Feelin’ 100. Torrential rains did much to keep ODU’s high-powered offense out of the end zone Saturday night, but the Monarchs did just enough, and rode the strength of a stellar defensive effort, to defeat Liberty, 21-7, Saturday night at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

It was an historic victory for ODU – it was the University’s 100^th since the Monarchs began playing football in 2009. And this one came against an in-state opponent against whom the Monarchs have struggled.

It was the third consecutive victory for ODU, which was coming off its first win ever at Virginia Tech two weeks ago. ODU is 3-1 for the first time since 2014.

🔼 Seventh Heaven. The scoring started early and often for the ODU women’s soccer team as the Monarchs used five first half goals to roll to a dominating 7-1 victory at Southern Miss on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, ODU extended its unbeaten streak to six games and has not lost since August 31.

Ashley Economopoulos led the offensive attack with two goals on the day.

🔼 Earning Accolades. ODU’s Puneet Bajwa is ready to breakout.

The junior women’s golf standout earned a top-10 finish at last week’s Lady Paladin Invitational to earn Sun Belt Women’s Golfer of the Week accolades.

A junior from Mohali, India, Bajwa was the top finisher for the Monarchs at the event, tying for seventh at four-under par 212. She has now posted two Top-15 finishes in as many tournaments to start ODU’s fall season.
