🔼 Four Aces. We’re not even halfway through the MLB season, but ODU Baseball has already left quite an imprint on the 2024 campaign.

Four different former Monarchs have been studs on the mound for their respective teams with Jared Koenig (Brewers), Daniel Hudson (Dodgers), Ryan Yarbrough (Dodgers) and Justin Verlander (Astros) all having dominant seasons.

So far this season, the quartet of former ODU hurlers have combined for a 14-5 record with just a 2.97 ERA with a combined 154.2 innings of work.

No better way to get pumped for the upcoming season on the gridiron than Fan Fest! That’s right, Fan Fest is back and we’re set to take over Dick’s in Chesapeake on August 3 as the Monarchs prepare to open up summer camp that same week.

It may be summer break for some, but Coach Jones and the Monarchs are far from taking a break.

Hard at work on the practice courts and recruiting trails, Coach Jones caught up with the guys over at Field of 68 to talk about his return to Norfolk, the status of the Monarchs and what he’s most looking forward to about the upcoming year.

We have all have important phone calls that happen throughout our lives.

Recently, five all-time ODU greats got one of those calls as the 2024 Class of the ODU Sports Hall of Fame was announced.

This year’s class includes Trey Freeman (Men’s Basketball), Christy Longacre (Field Hockey), Jonathan Plisco (Football), Evan Newton (Men’s Soccer) and Marty Bradley (Athletic Training).

The group will be inducted at a dinner at Chartway Arena in early September.
