🔼 Honor Roll. Old Dominion’s tennis—both the men’s and women’s teams—are headed into the offseason with the wind at their backs after capturing postseason honors and national rankings that’ll carry them into next season.

For the men’s team, the Monarchs finished the year ranked 65th after compiling an 18-10 record and their first Sun Belt Conference championship, finishing ahead of schools like Virginia Tech, Temple, and Penn State. The doubles duo of Younes Lalami and Brandon Perez finished ranked 90th and were recognized as first-team All-Sun Belt Conference prior to the conference tournament.

Also earning Sun Belt Conference honors this year were Francois Le Tallec (first team singles), Cosme Rolland De Ravel (second team singles), and Jakob Cadonau (Newcomer of the Year).

For the women’s team, an ITA poll for mid-major schools saw Old Dominion finish second to Pepperdine, the highest the Monarchs have been ranked in history. As a team overall, the Monarchs finished ranked 29th nationally after earning a 19-5 record and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championships.

In singles, Tatsiana Sasnouskaya finished the year ranked 25th after advancing to the second round of the NCAA Singles Championships and ending the season with a 22-6 record. She was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and was a first team All-Conference selection in both singles and in doubles. The doubles tandem of Tatsiana Sasnouskaya and Sofia Johnson ended the year ranked 26th as they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championships, with Sofia Johnson also earning first team All-Conference singles honors.
