🏈 RAISING THE BAR
Best part about each new season is that hope springs eternal and no matter the predictions, the wins are determined on the field.
Last year, the Monarchs far exceeded the preseason expectations bestowed to them by the SBC coaches. This year, ODU looks to do the same.
Harry Minium caught up with the ODU contingent at media days and previewed what could be a very special 2024 season.

🏈 AND ANOTHER ONE
Any time you’re associated with a part of history, it’s something special.
That’s what ODU stud LB Jason Henderson is a part of as he was named to the East-West Shrine Bowl Watch List. The East-West Shrine Bowl is the longest-running college all-star football game in the country.
Earlier this week, Henderson was named the SBC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year as well as to the SBC Preseason All-Conference First Team.
The Dingmans Ferry, Pa. native led the country for the second-straight year in tackles per game, averaging 14.2 stops and finished third in the country with 1.6 tackles for loss per game. He finished second in the country with 170 tackles, one behind Jay Higgins of Iowa, who played two more games than Henderson.

🦁 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: 10.
Earning starts in 20 of ODU’s 21 games last year, Kulha helped anchor one of the best defenses in the country last fall. She also added four goals and two assists to help her earn a spot on Top Drawer Soccer Top-25 freshman in the country last year.
🦁 Have a great weekend, ODU Fam!
